This one means something to me. It’s my dad’s old camcorder, the one he filmed me with growing up, and it spent years doing nothing in a closet before I pulled it back out. Building a rig around it really felt like I was bringing it back to life.
The goal was going tapeless, so the PowerPlay DVR handles recording straight to SD off the camcorder’s A/V out. There’s something about Digital8 you just can’t fake in post, and honestly it’s kinda surreal shooting on the same camera that filmed me as a kid. Can’t wait to use this for future projects!
